Our adventures are a really great way to either dip your toes into a topic, or to be used as a springboard to jump and dive in. Each adventure we offer can be tailored to different ages and group sizes, and most fall into a few different categories, listed below:

Outdoor Exploration
California is extraordinarily rich in natural resources, and we at S.O.L.I. are here to help guide groups of any age and size into finding and connecting to their very own outdoor experiences for the first time, or the 1,000,000th time. These make for wonderful introductory or refresher courses where we teach basic principles of thriving in the outdoors.

Research & Analysis
These courses are generally geared towards analysts and deep knowledge seekers, and usually cover a specific subject or project that we go behind the scenes on. The information is deep, and led in coordination with true subject matter experts.

Place-based Learning
On these adventures, we learn about a place, in that place. This enables participants to develop a sense of place intimacy in addition to a deeper knowledge than if the same information were to be taught in a classroom setting.​​​ In these courses, we dive a little deeper into the ecology and natural sciences of a region, enabling participants to understand how every aspect of an environment flow together.

Skillcrafts
More focused on hard outdoor skills, these adventures allow for participants to gain knowledge and confidence in various bushcraft and outdoor skills and abilities.
